We had so much fun! Piper had a blast. She loved the sand, but preferred the pool over the ocean. I can't say that I blame her, especially after my jellyfish sting. I got stung this afternoon, and I can't even begin to explain how painful it was. It's a good thing it happened on our last day here and not the first. Seriously, I may be done with the ocean permanently.
We took her to the aquarium yesterday. The last time we went, she was only 5 months old, so it was a completely different experience this time. I love how little things that we take for granted amaze her. Every little thing is an opportunity to learn, and every day is a new adventure. Sometimes, I wish I could get inside her head, just for a little while, to see exactly what she's thinking. I love the way she looks at the world, with such innocence. I wish I could protect her and keep her sweet and innocent forever.
She is so precious, and I'm so thankful that God blessed me with her. Sometimes, I wonder if it's selfish of me to want more...
