Saturday we got Piper all dressed up in her fairy costume and took her to a fall festival. She played games, got candy, petted a horse (she didn't want to ride), and spent a lot of time in the bounce castle. I love Halloween. Piper had so much fun dressing up. She even has her next four costumes planned. Next year, she wants to be a butterfly, then a girl pirate, then a girl dog, and after that a princess. I'm sure those will change over the years, but I really hope she still wants to be a butterfly by next Halloween. I have a really cute idea.

Sunday we had an amazing service at church. I left feeling slightly depressed and very challenged. I mean that in the best way possible. Seriously, it was a really great service. I feel so blessed to be a part of our church family. Sunday afternoon I had to go to work. We had a floorset and I was there until after midnight. That was the only not-so-great part of the weekend, but I am grateful for my job.
Yesterday, Piper and I hung out at home most of the day. I made her a fun (super simple) Halloween lunch, that she's still talking about today.

After Tim got off work, we took Piper trick or treating. We went to a trunk or treat at my dad and step-mom's church. I dumped Piper's bucket into a bag we had in the car and we went trick or treating at a few family members' houses. At one point, in the car, Piper exclaimed, "This is the best day ever!" She had a blast. I love doing fun things and making memories with my precious girl.

The only problem I have now is the huge amount of candy in my house! I don't know what to do with it all. I don't want Piper to eat it all, and I certainly don't need to eat it all. It's very tempting, though.
