It's funny, though, how the sadness creeps in when you least expect it. We were having a good night, enjoying time together as a family, then we put in "Dumbo." At the beginning of the movie, when Mrs. Jumbo is waiting for her baby and watching the stork deliver babies to everyone around her, all I could think was "I know the feeling." ::sigh:: Why does this have to be so hard?

Making Memories
Friday night we had a slumber party (or number party, as Piper kept calling it). We piled blankets and pillows in the living room floor, popped popcorn, made cookies, and watched movies. We let Piper pick one movie to rent and one from our collection. She ended up choosing "Spooky Buddies" and "Dumbo." The original plan was for all of us to sleep in the living room floor in true sleepover fashion, but Piper wanted to sleep in her own bed. I can't say that I was disappointed about not sleeping on the hard floor. It was a really fun night, and we'll definitely be doing it again soon.
