Growing Boys

I had a growth ultrasound today at 26 weeks 5 days to check on the boys. They both look great and are growing right on track. Carson, our baby A, is estimated to weigh 2 lbs. Tucker, baby B, weighs about 2 lbs 5 oz. Even though he's smaller, Carson is taking up most of the room. He's stretched way out with his head in my pelvis and his feet near my ribs. Tucker is completely breech and was curled up in a little ball with his feet in front of his face. We got some cute shots of Carson, he was moving his mouth and practicing swallowing. Tucker was facing my back and absolutely refused to move, so we didn't get to see his face at all. They're both definitely still boys. They aren't shy about that! Their fluid levels look great and my cervix is closed up tight. I've been having lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, which is a little worrisome, so it's nice to know that everything looks great!

I'm feeling very pregnant these days. My stomach feels very heavy and my skin is so stretched out that it just hurts. I honestly have no idea how these boys are going to have room to grow for 11 more weeks. Sleep is getting more difficult and I'm typically up every three hours or so at night. Preparation for what's to come, I suppose. These boys are very active and I LOVE feeling them move. That's definitely my favorite part of pregnancy.

As uncomfortable as I am, I'm so incredibly thankful. As far as twin pregnancies go, this one has been pretty textbook so far (other than the scares in the first few weeks.) I am considered high risk, but things have gone well so far. Hopefully Carson and Tucker don't have any surprises in store for us!
