24 Weeks

Happy Viability Day to us!! We still have a long way to go and we definitely want these boys to cook as long as possible, but 24 weeks is a great milestone! Most hospitals consider a baby viable at 24 weeks gestation and will perform life-saving measure for preemies at this stage. Babies born at 24 weeks have about a 50% chance at survival. Obviously we want them to stay inside much longer, but it's nice to know that they at least have a chance at this point if I were to go into preterm labor.

I have lots of updates since my last post. Let's see, Tim turned 30 on May 30. We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on June 2. And... we bought a house! We closed on June 3. We're so excited! We got a great deal and lots of (much needed) extra space. 2013 is shaping up to be quite an exciting  year for us!

Overall I'm feeling pretty good. Still tired and starting to get uncomfortable, but thankful that the boys are doing well. I'm feeling movement pretty regularly now. Sometimes you can even see it from the outside. Piper loves feeling her brothers move. These boys are very active, which is good for my peace of mind. As you can see, the boys are definitely growing:

This was taken today at 24 weeks exactly. Hard to believe these boys still have 14 weeks worth of growing to do!
