The boys decided to stir things up a bit last week. I've been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for about 2 months now, but one day last week I had about 9 an hour for 3 hours. I wasn't super-concerned because they weren't painful and they weren't coming in a regular pattern, but more than 6 in an hour warrants a call, so in to the doctor's office we went. The contractions weren't causing any cervical changes and both boys looked great. I'm still having contractions fairly frequently, but honestly I hardly even notice them anymore. I do have more on days that I'm on my feet more, so I'm trying to take it easy as much as I can.
We had a growth ultrasound yesterday at 30 weeks 4 days. The boys are still growing right on track. Carson is weighing in at 3 lb 5 oz and Tucker is 3 lb 8 oz. That's almost 7 pounds of baby! They're definitely getting stronger and their movements are very obvious (and sometimes painful.)
Needless to say, I'm feeling enormous and extremely pregnant these days. Even rolling over in bed is difficult. I can't get comfortable and sleep is hard to come by. I'm bigger now than I was full-term with Piper and I'm feeling it for sure. My back, hips, and feet pretty much always hurt. We're in the home stretch, though. The end is in sight and I'm thankful these boys are still cooking and doing so well. I can't wait to meet them!
I haven't shared any pictures in a while, so here are a few from the past few weeks.
