5 Years

Five years ago I made the best decision of my life when I walked down the aisle and said, "I do." It's funny how five years seems like such a long time and such a short time all at once. I feel like we've had to endure a lot in a relatively short amount of time, but I can't imagine going through it with anyone else. I've been blessed with a wonderful husband, and I love him so much.

We decided to just spend the day together as a family. We really had a lot of fun. We hung out around the house until lunchtime. We had a nice lunch at PF Changs. It's was Piper's first experience eating Chinese food and she was so excited to try it. She wanted to eat dumplings like Kai-lan.

She is already a pro at using chopsticks, and ate her whole meal with them.

After lunch, we went and walked around O.P. Taylor's, which is a really cool toy store. Then, we took Piper to the park for a little while. It was kind of windy and chilly, and felt more like fall than summer, but it was nice. We finished off our day with frozen yogurt. In the midst of all this heartache and stress, today was a nice reminder of how blessed I am.
