It's probably also best for Piper that they're both boys. She's been the only child for so long, and I know this is going to be a tough adjustment for her. She'll always be the oldest and they'll always be the youngest, but they also get the "specialness" of being the twins. So, I'm glad she gets to be the only girl.
They already have such different personalities. It's so neat that we can tell that in the womb! One baby is always very chill during our ultrasounds (and he was extra-stubborn yesterday) and the other baby is constantly moving, flipping, and kicking. They still have quite a bit of room, but they stay right next to each other. They had their heads touching through almost the entire ultrasound. We even got a shot of one baby's hand touching the other's head through the membrane. So sweet!
They're what's called di/di twins, which means they each have their own amniotic sac, chorionic sac, and placenta. Most di/di twins are fraternal, but identical twins can be di/di if the embryo splits early enough. We can already tell our boys look different. You can tell pretty clearly in the profile shots that their noses are not the same. I just hope at least one of them gets his daddy's blue eyes!
Most importantly, both of our boys are healthy and growing! We are so very blessed!

Love this!! Congrats sweetie!
